We check it had 2 bad injectors he exchanged them "no cost from advance auto we only charged labor" put it back together rechecked everything. We just had an issue with a customer with bwd injectors he paid another shop 3400 for "new" injectors after getting frustrated with the other shop brought it to us. We see and replace at least 1 set a month from them and rarely do they last 20k miles they warranty them for 12 mo.& 12k we normally see them just after 12k when they will not warranty them any more. 2 other diesel shops in town insist on using alliant power injectors 1 of them engraves there initial's and date on each one. ![]() other so called rebuilders "remanufacture them?" The aftermarket injectors simply suck. I see about 1 % failure in first 50k on average. Motorcraft injectors get new spools every time with the latest " improved" design. The bigger problem is the so called rebuilders. But it simply does not fix the issue the spool valve is precision machined poor maintenance will cause them to stick and the fact they do wear out. It may clean the junk off them if you poorly maintained them and help some. This my opinion on them good voltage 48 good fuel pressure 55+ proper maintenance will make the injectors last long time. That said after dealing with the 6.0 injector sense the day they were released. Common rail injection is a better design. ![]() There is no fix for the short coming's of a heui setup period. 6.0 injector stiction is a engineering flaw in the design of the engine.
